Many of the participating artists are young Taiwanese artists exhibiting at the Taipei Art Fair for the first time。
A total of 10 artists are featured in the exhibition，including 2 three-dimensional and 8 two-dimensional artists。 Four of them are exhibiting at the Taipei Art Fair for the first time，and several have exhibited outside of Taiwan。
The artists represent different age groups，from 29 to 80 years old，and their works span various media，from ceramic and stainless steel sculptures to mineral pigments，ink paintings, oil paintings, and pastel paintings。Together，they explore how artists at different ages express their artistic pursuits through different media，but their shared passion for beauty surges forward like waves in the ocean。
First-time exhibitor: Wu Hsi-chi，born in Taiwan in 1965. He has dedicated over thirty years to the study of oil pastel painting。Living by the sea in Dali，Yilan, and facing Turtle Island daily，he developed a keen interest in islands and the natural ocean。 Through his vibrant and richly layered brushstrokes，viewers can feel Wu Hsi-chi's passionate heart for all things。This passion extends into a curiosity to explore reality，driving Wu Hsi-chi to observe the myriad aspects of human relationships and the island environment with greater sensitivity. Through his long-term observation of the world，Wu Hsi-chi also reflects on his own role and position， striving to see more diverse landscapes。
First-time exhibitor: Born in 1975, three-dimensional sculptor Kuo Kuo-hsiang has won numerous awards at international sculpture exhibitions。
With a background in industrial design，Kuo is known for his use of stainless steel， leveraging the metal's luster and light-reflecting properties to create dynamic interplay of light and shadow through varying angles and lighting conditions。
The artist shared that，unlike his previous works which were often displayed in single locations，this exhibition presents a series of scaled-down sculptures indoors。This allows for a more diverse range of works，while maintaining the exhibition's focus on integrating his art into its environment。For example，placing reflective stainless steel pieces in bright areas or using dark walls to accentuate the works' somber tone brings out the best in each piece through these details。
First-time exhibitor: Eason Ko，born in Taiwan in 1997，graduated from the Cambridge School of Art in the UK. The "children" frequently appearing in his paintings are a projection of his childhood，and a re-identification of himself in a foreign land。hey have no defined gender or specific emotional expressions—they are vessels of feeling，beings willing to be seen，resonated with，and openly displaying their emotions。He/she/they wander between memory，dreams, and reality，unfolding a "slow-motion narrative" of growth in saturated colors yet delicately emotional images。These are sparkles of youth，starlight gently gathered. The artist re-imbues this emotion with color，sound, and shape，making it his way of communicating with the world and quietly engaging in dialogue with himself。
First-time exhibitor: Huang Shih-chang, born in 1992，graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Japanese Painting from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts，, Tunghai University。He achieved second place in the lacquerware category at the 2022 National Art Exhibition，first place in the craft category at the 2021 Dadun Art Exhibition，first place in the lacquerware category at the 2019 National Art Exhibition，and first place in the lacquerware category at the 2018 Taoyuan Art Exhibition。
He also graduated in 2026 from the Graduate Institute of Lacquer Art and Woodworking at Kanazawa College of Art and Design，Japan，with a second master's degree。
His latest lacquer paintings primarily employ Shen Jin's techniques。
In the creative process，he realized that the collision of the blade and the lacquerboard is like the clash between his own will and the hardships of reality。The traces left by carving lacquerware, adorned with gold leaf，are like the experiences honed and sculpted in his own dark journey，ultimately becoming the soil that nurtures the brilliance of life。The paintings mainly depict the ordinary yet beautiful things around him during his travels in Japan，revealing that even in the insignificant corners of daily life, one can glimpse the extraordinary。
The exhibiting artist, Chang Weiyuan，was born in Taiwan in 1987 and is currently an associate professor in the Department of Painting and Calligraphy at the National Taiwan University of Arts。Chang Weiyuan integrates traditional cultural aesthetics with contemporary painting vocabulary，preserving the classic and enduring essence of Eastern media。
Chang Weiyuan's work is influenced by folk opera，religious music，and other forms of art，finding that the structure of traditional music—its beginning，development, transition，and conclusion—similar to the emphasis on the relationship between gathering and dispersing，and between emptiness and fullness in Eastern ink painting concepts。
The "Heaven and Earth" series extracts transcendent spiritual states from the myriad aspects of human life。Inspired by musical melodies，it extends musical experience to visual transformation。Through the creation of scenarios，the transformation of characters，and the rhythm of composition，it expresses themes from folk opera，religion, and music。It attempts to create an ideal world different from reality from human contemplation，achieving a state of inner and outer harmony and balance。 Zhang Weiyuan explores the imagery of music through hearing。The changes in melody and the arrangement of instruments bring out imaginative scenarios of temple fairs，Peking Opera，Kunqu Opera，and various other musical genres。 Through the visual composition of color，structure, and form，he attempts to create a resonance with the music and evoke a subtle connection between sensory consciousness。Using ink and gouache as creative media，he uses the techniques of these media to highlight the expression of the creative content，making form content, and technique complement each other，giving the works the essence and characteristics of personal creation。
Wu Yeouxin was born in Taiwan in 1983 and is currently a professor in the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University。Amidst the development of AI，Wu Yeouxin has begun to delve into the impact and assistance AI provides to painting，interpreting and responding to the relationship between "simulacra" and "realism" in contemporary AI-generated images。
Wu Yeouxin's work does not employ vigorous and forceful brushstrokes，especially in his depictions of figures。Through his portrayals of women，he conveys a delicate and refined femininity。His meticulous attention to expression，with subtle changes in each pair of eyes representing different meanings，projects his own current emotional state。Lips，slightly parted like flower petals，carry a wealth of emotions that cannot be fully expressed，offering viewers a series of traces for repeated contemplation。
Wu Yeouxin has consistently adhered to meticulous ink painting as his primary art form，continuously exploring the possibilities for breakthroughs in materials within contemporary ink painting under the influence of AI。
Danny Liu，a fiber artist renowned internationally for his work, was born in Taiwan in 1947。Through the creation of unique fabrics by world-renowned fashion designers，his innovative visual compositions and distinctive craftsmanship have established a unique style in international fiber art。He loves natural colors and excels in the sewing techniques of fiber art production。He deconstructs large quantities of fiber fabrics of different colors，recombining them with innovative visual appeal to present a continuous creative idea。
From December 2025 to March 2026，he will be invited by the Pingtung County Government to participate in the Pingtung County Luoshanfeng Art Festival， holding a solo exhibition at the Kanhai Art Museum。The number of visitors during the exhibition broke the record for the largest number of visitors to a single solo exhibition since the museum opened..
Danny Liu was also invited to exhibit at the Fashion and Textile Museum of London， receiving a great response。This further promotes Taiwanese fiber art to the international stage。
Peng Weixin was born in Taiwan in 1980。He graduated with a doctorate in conservation and restoration from Tokyo University of the Arts in Japan。His continuous breakthroughs in mineral pigment painting not only create new artistic conceptions and compositions but also involve bold reforms and innovations in the materials used，ensuring the endless creativity of mineral pigment art。He grinds the mineral pigment particles to a finer finer texture，allowing for a richer and wider color gamut。
Peng Weixin's unique method allows him to apply mineral pigments to the canvas with the freedom of ink painting。At first glance，Peng Weixin's mineral pigment paintings resemble natural ink paintings，yet they retain the unique color thickness and saturation of mineral pigments，presenting a great visual tension and creating a more vibrant new artistic realm。
Tseng Hsin-yao was born in Taiwan in 1986 and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University，San Francisco。A Chinese-American artist，Tseng Hsin-yao has held three solo exhibitions at the Sunnylands Art Center. He has lived in the United States since 1986 and has participated in numerous art exhibitions there. He has also been invited to teach in Mexico and Brazil。
Through his experiences living in different cultures，Tseng Hsin-yao examines shared memories and presents the pulse of a great era from a microcosmic perspective. He captures the various testimonies and memories of life through landscapes and conveys hope and enduring emotions through light。
The most striking aspect of Tseng Hsin-yao's work is his ability to integrate the independent textures of different elements on the canvas，thus representing his unique perspective on natural aesthetics。
Regarding the dialectic of texture and space，Tseng Hsin-yao also draws upon his self-developed "Eastern and Western aesthetic systems" and explores them together。During his studies for his Master of Fine Arts degree at the Academy of Art University，Tseng Hsin-yao developed a series of Impressionist paintings based on the concept of "blank space" in Eastern landscape painting。Zeng Xinyao naturally blends and overlaps "Eastern freehand brushwork" and "Impressionist perception of light。" Through the complementarity and selection of the two，he has shaped a new impressionistic realist style with an Eastern aesthetic foundation。
Korean artist Ryu Je-yoon was born in South Korea in 1990 and currently resides in Kyoto。He graduated with a Master's degree in Ceramics from Kyoto City University of Arts。
In February 2026, he was invited to participate in an outdoor art fair at the famous Tofukuji Temple (built in 1236) in Kyoto，Japan，where he received high praise。
Recently, the image of birds has unconsciously begun to appear frequently in my works。This may stem from the isolation and loneliness brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic after settling in Japan，a foreign land, and the longing for loved ones。
In that loneliness，he had to delve into my inner self to explore myself。From the dark side lurking in the abyss to the pure emotion of wanting to love，he explored the diverse aspects of his inner self and finally came to accept life and all its emotions—even negative emotions like loneliness or suffering。
The liberation he gained in solitude，the emotions poured into his works during those struggles，brought a sense of liberation and gradually guided him towards a better life。
